If you can afford to pay 25000 Euros a year to study in Europe, count yourself lucky. If you can’t and manage to get a scholarship, count yourself luckier. Lithuania is a small country in the Baltic Region of Europe. This lesser-known country, welcomes over 3000 international students every year. This highly educated and bilingual country has some of the lowest costs of living in Europe.Universities focus on theory and practice making Lithuania one of the top countries for Masters in Europe.Living cost range from 200-300 Euros per month. Average tuition fees range from 1500-3000 Euros a year.


Germany, ‘the land of ideas’ , is continuing to grow in popularity among international students.  Reputable universities with cutting edge research programs, high quality of life and English courses   make Germany, one of the top destinations to study masters in Europe.

There are no tuition fees charged, regardless of nationality apart from universities in the Baden Württemberg region. Universities do however charge an administrative fee of 200 euro per semester. Some German cities may have a higher cost of living than their European counterparts but this is offset by the lack of tuition fees .

Czech Republic

Higher education at public and state institutions is free of charge for domestic and international students. Some universities  charge a nominal administrative fee. Private Institutions have their own fee structure. A student is allowed to work 20 hours part time during the term and 40 hours during holidays. Masters in Europe has never been more fun! Living Costs are roughly 400 Euros a month while tuition fees are 2000-3000 Euros a semester.


The country has a variety of study options, low costs of living and internationally recognized degrees. Hungary is steadily gaining popularity among students wishing to study Masters in Europe. It has five globally ranked universities, not a small feat for a country of its size!  The overall cost of living in Hungary are quite inexpensive, 300-500 Euros a month. Tuition fees are subsidized and range from 1000-3000 Euros a year at public universities. 


Spain is an appealing country for international students for masters in Europe. Mainly due to its Mediterranean climate, friendly locals and affordable prices. With over 70 universities offering internationally recognized degrees in English, you are sure to find a masters program that suits you. Average tuition fees are roughly a thousand Euros per year while living costs are around 700-900 Euro per month.


Norway education remain free for international and domestic students at public universities with the exception of a few specialized programs. It is known for its stunning natural beauty and high quality of life. You should consider Norway, for a masters in Europe if you don’t want to learn another language as majority programs are conducted in English. While tuition isn’t charged, a  token fees of 50-100 USD per semester is charged. As with all, Nordic countries, the cost of living is quite high.
